Construction Project Set for Crescent Drive
Part of the road will be closed in August in order to install bollards in front of City Hall.

Crescent Drive, between north and south Santa Monica boulevards, will be closed in the next couple of weeks due to a construction project.
The City of Beverly Hills plans to install retractable vertical posts, or bollards, that are designed to make areas safer for pedestrians by restricting car access to a specific area.
During the construction project, traffic will be diverted to Canon or Rexford Drives when the project starts, according to Therese Kosterman, public information manager for the City of Beverly Hills.

Businesses on Crescent Drive will be open during the project which is scheduled to begin the week of Aug. 5, Kosterman said.
The bollards, which will consist of stainless steel cylinders decorated with the Beverly Hills shield logo, will be used to close off one block of North Crescent Drive in front of City Hall during community events.
