Deadly Weapon Assault Suspect Arrested In Beverly Hills; Large Police Presence Remains

Police are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon near Bedford Drive and Wilshire Boulevard; some nearby roads are closed.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Authorities are warning residents to avoid the area of Bedford Drive and Wilshire Boulevard amid an investigation into a suspected assault with a deadly weapon Monday afternoon.

The Beverly Hills Police Department said officers have arrested a person in connection with the investigation. They described the incident as an isolated one "with no additional threat to the community."

There was a lare police presence around the 100 block of Bedford Drive at around 3:45 p.m.; police urged people to avoid the area.
