House Fire Breaks Out In Beverly Hills: UPDATE

A house fire has started in an attic in Beverly Hills. Crews are on the scene.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – An attic fire broke out in a single-family home at 5456 Hillgreen Place in Beverly Hills and damaged the home, but no one was hurt. The blaze was reported at 11:57 a.m. and nearly four dozen firefighters knocked down the blaze, confining it to the attic.

As of 12:32 p.m., fire crews had knocked down the fire. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were dispatched because the address was initially misreported as being within their jurisdiction, spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

"Once the (house) was located, we updated the address and notified Beverly Hills Fire Department, but we handled the fire,'' she said.
