Lady Normans On Brink of Title
The Beverly Hills girls soccer squad can clinch first place in the Ocean League with a win Thursday.

Girls Soccer
A win. That's all the Beverly Hills High girls soccer team needs to take the Ocean League title and wrest it away from reigning seven-time champion Santa Monica.
The Normans (16-5-2 overall, 8-1-0 in league) moved to within one victory of their goal with a 3-0 shutout at Inglewood on Tuesday. Ashley Aviram scored two goals and Sydney Segal tallied the other for Beverly Hills. Goalkeepers Ida Trevino and Kylie Colvin each played a half to combine for the shutout.

Beverly Hills leads Santa Monica by half a game in the standings with one match remaining. The scenario is simple. If Beverly Hills beats Culver City in Thursday's season finale, the league title belongs to the Normans. If the Normans tie Culver City and Santa Monica (12-7-2, 7-1-1) beats winless Hawthorne as expected, Santa Monica and Beverly Hills would finish tied for first. If Beverly Hills loses and Santa Monica wins, the Vikings will capture their eighth league title in a row.
Defeating third-place Culver City (18-5-1, 6-2-1) will be no small feat, but the Normans won the first game 2-0 on the road on second-half goals by Tiffany Moore and Kaela Reisfelt, and a seven-save effort in goal by Trevino.
