Stan Lee was reportedly adamant that he didn't write the check, but that someone forged it and then cashed it.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Stan Lee, founder of Marvel Comics, reportedly filed a report with the Beverly Hills police alleging that someone forged a $300,000 check out of his account and then cashed it, TMZ reported. The alleged fraudulent check was drafted on Oct. 4th.
Lee reportedly filed his police report this week when the fraud was discovered by his money managers, TMZ said. Lee, who celebrated his 95th birthday on Dec. 28, reportedly was adamant that he didn't write the check. Detectives said they are working to gain back records and get search warrants to investigate the alleged fraud.
