'Shop on Sundays' Supports Local Causes
Beverly Hills Market & Deli on North Crescent Drive is donating a portion of its Aug. 28 sales to friends of the library, as it has done for other community organizations.
Shopping locally is good. Shopping locally for a good cause is even better.
On Sunday, Aug. 28, the Beverly Hills Market & Deli will donate 5 percent of its sales (excluding tobacco and alcohol) to as part of its recently launched “Shop on Sundays” campaign.
"With ‘Shop on Sundays,’ we're inviting everyone to join us in giving back to our local charities,” owner Shawn Saeedian said. “When customers shop here, they’ll be supporting important causes that serve the Beverly Hills community.”

The family-run grocery store, at the same North Crescent Drive address for more than 25 years, was started by Saeedian and his parents. Now his wife, Angela, along with other family members work at the corner market in a tradition reminiscent of Beverly Hills in years past.
“Eleven years ago we almost had to move,” Saeedian said. “But the community rallied behind us, and we were able to stay at this location.”

Longtime supporters of Beverly Hills’ civic and nonprofit associations, including the Beverly Hills Unified School District, Saeedian and his family wanted to help in more ways. "Shop on Sundays" has already benefited and the .
