BHPD Arrests Suspected Car Burglars After Chase: Report

Two people were arrested on suspicion of an early-evening car burglary, the Beverly Hills Courier reported.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Two people were arrested on July 10 in connection to a vehicle burglary on Wilshire Boulevard, the Beverly Hills Courier reported.

Ivan Perez, 27, was arrested on a charge of burglary of a motor vehicle, assault with a deadly weapon, felony hit and run, possession of drug paraphernalia and evading officers. Brenda Vega, 23, of Monterey Park, was arrested on a charge of resisting officers and a felony warrant, the Courier reported.

Beverly Hills police officers responded to a call about a vehicle being vandalized near the 9300 block of Wilshire at around 5:30 p.m. on July 10. When the arrived, the suspects attempted to flee through an alleyway, the Courier reported, citing BHPD.

As the suspects were fleeing, they sideswiped an oncoming police car in an alleyway before striking a vehicle carrying three people in it on Gregory Way. The pair proceeded to flee on foot before they were arrested, according to the Courier.
