For decades, the iconic Lily Pond in Beverly Hills was a place of breathtaking beauty and a scenic wonder.
It was a place of peace and a place to gather and create memories.
In other words, it was Beverly Hills at its best.
Children laughing and pictures taking were routine at the Lily Pond.
Generations made it a part of their lives.
Then, it was gone.
Replaced by grass and a walkway to the the famous Beverly Hills sign.
All very nice, but not the Lily Pond.
Now, because so many in BH cherished the pond and with a renewed interest in preserving and bringing back the past, the Lily Pond is once again a part of Beverly Hills and ready to enjoy like before.
Well, almost.
The restoration is not complete, but it is very close.
The pond has been filled with water, but there is still some work to be done.
Flowers have to be planted, grass put down and so on.
But the pond is back and what an unveiling it will be.
