Patch: What sports and/or clubs have you participated in during your high school career so far?
Newman: I have been in intermediate and modern dance, and been the vice president of the architecture club. I am also on the FAC [Facilities Advisory Committee], the Friend of the Greystone board, and in ASB [Associated Student Body]. I have been in robotics and I am in the National Honor Society, California Scholarship Fund and principals of honor role.
Patch: What do you do in your free time?
Newman: I enjoy taking drawing and dance classes. I have also arranged a school fundraiser for the navy and a prom dress drive. I am also currently working on expanding the school’s recycling program. I have also been featured in the school art show and city architecture days.

Patch: Are you excited to begin thinking about going to college?
Newman: Yes, I am very excited about college because college will give me a chance to focus more on architecture.
Patch: What are you most excited about for senior year?
Newman: I am most excited to enjoy special senior activities like prom and grad night with my friends before we part ways for college.

Patch: What are your summer plans?
Newman: I plan to spend the summer attending an architecture intensive at USC and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in my spare time.
