• Biggs Corrects Compliance Oversight (gridleyherald.com) — Biggs residents should know the City Council just fixed a five-year lapse in required state renewable-energy paperwork, ensuring the city stays in compliance without changing rates. Councilmembers also reaffirmed equal 2024 water-rate increases for all customers and agreed to keep participating in a regional groundwater-planning effort that could shape future local water management.
   

• Doug Arnold Ends Final Chapter of Public Service (gridleyherald.com) — Biggs residents now have an open City Council seat after Vice Mayor Doug Arnold resigned July 28 ahead of moving out of state, ending more than two decades of local public service.
