• Auxiliary Launches America 250 Poster Contest (gridleyherald.com) — Student artists from Biggs are invited to join a patriotic poster contest hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 210 in Gridley, celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday. Biggs, Gridley, and Live Oak students can submit hand-made posters Thursday afternoons from May 14 through June 11, with winners honored at a July 3 ice cream social.
