The annual program, tailored to Bishop’s volunteer fire setup, includes live-fire practice and supports a broader culture of safety, with plans for ongoing refresher courses and additional risk-management education for city employees.
   

4. NIHD, CEO Christian Wallis Honored by Sen. Alvarado-Gil (sierrawave.net) — Northern Inyo Healthcare District, based in Bishop, was honored by State Sen. Marie Alvarado-Gil during this year’s Bishop Mule Days for more than 80 years of service. CEO Dr. Christian Wallis also received a certificate highlighting his work to stabilize rural healthcare, expand access, and build long-term sustainability for Eastern Sierra patients.
