• San Diego County seizes 829 birds, 2 dogs in major Valley Center rescue operation (cbs8.com) — Hundreds of rescued birds from a Valley Center property are now being cared for at the Bonita Animal Shelter after county officials seized 829 birds and two dogs from overcrowded, unhealthy conditions. Many animals are undergoing medical evaluations, with some transferred to an avian hospital, while rescue groups prepare to take in additional ducks from county services.
