Trespassing Suspect Prompts SWAT Standoff In Brentwood

BRENTWOOD , CA — A SWAT team was called to Brentwood Monday after an apparent trespasser refused to surrender to police, leading to a standoff that continued for more than seven hours.

Officers were called about 5 a.m. to the area of San Vicente Boulevard and Bundy Drive on a report of a trespasser, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect refused officers' orders to surrender, prompting the SWAT team response, police said.

The standoff remained ongoing more than seven hours after officers were initially called to the area.
