Register Now for the free LA Youth Hack Jam on Saturday, June 23rd from 11am-2pm!
Inspired by Mozilla's Summer of Code Party, we're hosting a fun afternoon at Wildwood School's campus in Los Angeles for kids and youth aged 5-18 and their parents/guardians to learn how to use web tools and basic programming languages. Bring your laptop* and be prepared to have a super fun time!
Kids as young as 5 will learn how to program using Scratch (fun for all ages). Older kids and parents can also learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ruby, how to make a video and upload it to YouTube, you name it. Just bring your imagination, questions and thinking cap.
We're hosting this on a Saturday because we want parents and guardians to come too. Kids under 13 must have their parent/guardian present. If you are 13 or older and your parent/guardian can't make it, then we'll need their consent for you to hang out.**
Our coaches and instructors are amazing. They hail from local tech startups, the LA Robotics Club, progressive schools, women's tech groups, Crashspace, film & TV studios, and many more.
