Power Outage Affects Thousands In Brentwood/Bel Air
Crews are working to restore power in Brentwood and Bel Air after outdated equipment failed Thursday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Thousands of residents in the Brentwood and Bel Air areas were left without power Thursday morning as Los Aneles utility employees frantically work to restore electricity.
More than 2,700 customers were without power as of 10 a.m. About 1,000 customers were without electricity in Brentwood and about 1,725 customers more in Bel-Air, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
The outage was caused by equipment that was outdated and in need of replacement, a DWP official told KNX, and service was expected to be restored some time Thursday, the utility reported.
