Like Speed Dating, only better and more fun! Meet lots of
potential romantic partners in a few minutes at a Bay Area
Singles Speed Dancing Event at an upscale hotel. Then dance the
night away in your usual cool manner!
Speed Dancing -- Here's how it works. Men and women form 2
concentric circles. Men on outside of the circle facing in. Women
in the inner circle, facing out. When the music starts women walk
(or dance forward) in their circle one way, the men walk the
other. As you pass each person, you can wink, tap hands, or flirt
as you like. When the music stops, the person you are standing
opposite is your partner for the next dance only.
If you don't get a partner, you can go invite someone to dance
who is sitting down or just chicken out and sit down for that
dance. After 3 minutes the dance is over and the process is
repeated. Speed Dancing goes on for about 90 minutes or so.
In this way, you get to dance with about 30 different partners!
It's better and more fun than Speed Dating!
After that, party guests connect in the usual way -- by asking
each other to dance.
