Burlingame 12B Flames Win The Billie Sue Tournament!

The Burlingame 12B  Flames are really hot this allstar season. They have two wins and a second place in tournament play.  They recently won the 2011 Burlingame Girls Softball Billie Sue Tournament - June 17, 18, 19.

According to Coach Craig Slavsky, it's "the first time these girls have won the event since he's been coaching." The Flames won all five games, and gave up a total of 5 runs. Pitchers Sara Slavsky won 4 games, Christina Monisteri won one. Clare Colson hit a grand slam against the Nova team.

A double play in the international tiebreaker ended the championship game with a fly ball to Malia Smith and then the throw to the plate where Lindsey Schloetter and Clare Colson got the girl in a rundown for the final out and won the championship game.
