Five Guys Burgers and Fries Now Open

Five Guys Burgers and Fries has opened in the mall across from Safeway! When I walked in to try it out, it was packed. Lots of people filled the tables and at least 15 or so workers stood behind the counter making the food. 

As I walked up to order, I noticed the bags of potatoes and boxes of peanut oil that serve as decoration, as well as dividers in the store. Watch what you are eating there if you allergic to peanuts! The walls are lined in red and white tiles, the perfect colors to attract Burlingame High School supporters. 

I had the veggie sandwich, which is not a veggie burger, but a choice of a combination of all the toppings offered on a burger. These toppings ranged from grilled mushrooms to A.1. steak sauce, not just your basic ketchup and mustard. I was pleased to see that they not only had burgers, but hotdogs, veggie sandwiches and a grilled cheese. Unfortunately, I expected them to have milkshakes, but this was not the case. However, they have over 100 drinks on their Coca-Cola Freestyle. 

I also tested both their french fry options, Five Guys style and Cajun style, and gave both a big thumbs up. In fact, these might be my favorite fast food fries: not too thick, not too thin, very addictive and very large portions. Two people can easily share the regular fries. I definitely recommend them!

Open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., I think Five Guys will be a great addition to the Burlingame area with tasty fast food.
