Mills Canyon, A Druggie Retreat?

It has gone on for years--the access to Mills Canyon located at Sebastian and Arguello drives is a regular retreat spot for high school druggies. I am not sure why this is "overlooked" by the police. Now, there are empty cases of beer littering the residential street, which would indicate alcohol consumption is occurring amongst the natural setting as well.

Hmmm... after smoking pot, they have some beers, then hop into their cars and drive away. This is just not making sense regardless of the fact, the offenders are only kids.

Nearly every afternoon on a pleasant day, the cars line up, some parked illegally going the wrong way. Groups of teens carrying school backpacks head for the access to find their spot down the hillside to smoke some pot and do whatever else. Residents are fearful to confront them due to possible retaliation; they live just a few houses away!

Personally, I think they should be flushed out of the brush before something devastating happens. When the dry summer months roll around, it will only take a small cinder from a joint to ignite and destroy our beautiful canyon and threaten the homes that border it. Police, are you listening??
