Royal Treasures form the Louvre Docent Lecture
Royal Treasures form the Louvre Docent Lecture at 7:00 PM
The Legion of Honor's Royal Treasures from the Louvre: Louis XIV to Marie-Antoinette exhibit (on display from 11/17/12 - 3/17/13) is an unparalleled collection of decorative arts, on loan, from France’s Musee du Louvre, Paris.
The exhibition contains personal items made for the royal family to give as gifts. Pieces include the exquisites Sevres porcelain and sliver; and Marie-Antoinette's personal collection of precious vases made of agate and other hardstones. Many of these items are displayed for the first time in the United States.
Join Museum Docent, Kay Payne, for a slide show and lecture focusing on the highlights of the exhibition.
