Burlingame Public Library is looking for a few good teen volunteers to participate in Book Buddies!
Book Buddies is a free reading enrichment program that pairs teen volunteers with elementary age readers. Book Buddies meet once a week for 45 minutes to read together and do literacy activities.
This program is designed for those usually reading below grade level and in need of extra help practicing reading. Simultaneously the program provides teens with the opportunity to be a positive role model while assisting children with their reading and instilling a love of books.
