BREAKING: Man Struck, Killed by Caltrain in Burlingame Tuesday Night
Train traffic was initially shut down in both directions.

A man who was illegally on the train tracks in Burlingame Tuesday evening was fatally struck by a Caltrain in what officials initially described as a “trespasser incident.”
The incident occurred at 7:02 p.m. near the Broadway Caltrain Station and involved southbound train No. 284, according to Caltrain officials. There were an estimated 260 passengers on the train at the time of this evening’s fatality, but no injuries were reported onboard.
Train traffic was initially shut down in both directions, but as of 8:52 p.m. both tracks have been reopened. Caltrain officials are reporting delays of up to an hour. The investigation into Tuesday’s death is ongoing.
