Burglars Strike Home, Construction Site In Hillsborough
Police are hoping witnesses to suspicious vehicles or in possession of home-security videos could aid investigation.

HILLSBOROUGH, CA -- A Hillsborough home was burglarized and a grand theft reported from a house construction site sometime between Friday and Saturday, according to the police.
The Hillsborough Police Department is seeking witnesses to both incidents that were reported Saturday.
In the home break-in, that occurred between 8 a.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday on the 700 block of Crystal Springs Road, suspects pried open a set of French doors to enter the residence and stole several items, police said.

The construction-site theft was from a house on the 800 block of Black Mountain Road and occurred between 5 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. The suspect, or suspects, removed hinges from a gate to enter the property and stole construction tools and equipment, according to the department.
The Hillsborough PD is asking residents who possibly noticed suspicious people or vehicles in the areas during the two timeframes to call officers at 650-375-7470.

Anyone with residential video-surveillance systems in these neighborhoods are also encouraged to review video and share any footage that may assist law enforcement with the investigations.
The Hillsborough Police also added the they encourage the use of residential alarm and surveillance systems, and ask locals residents to report suspicious activity to the department.
