Burlingame Avenue is a Mess!

We're going to love it when it's finished, but right now it's a nightmare for drivers and businesses.

Construction is underway on Burlingame Avenue on a long-anticipated streetscape improvement project. Traffic is currently diverted between Lorton Avenue and Park Road. The closures will last for several weeks.

This is the first phase of a major capital improvement project that will eventually go from El Camino Real all the way to California Drive. There will be nice, wide sidewalks for strolling and outdoor dining, new lighting, landscaping and public art. It’s going to be gorgeous when it’s finished—we just have to endure the dust and noise until then.

Signs are posted to direct drivers through the construction area. To find current parking, check this map.

And even though it’s a pain to brave the mess, remember to patronize your favorite shops and restaurants in the construction zone so that they’re still in business when this is all finished.
