BURLINGAME GLEE TO OPEN THE FIFTH ANNUAL BURhttp://burlingame-hillsborough.patch.com/posts/ev--burlingame-idol-v-finals/edit#LINGAME IDOL DINNER SHOW.
Fourteen finalists will be competing for the coveted titles of Burlingame Idol on May 31, 2013, 5:00-9:00PM at Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department’s Auditorium. Burlingame Glee, a show choir comprised of 8-11 yr. olds, will be opening the evening’s entertainment with “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Lean On Me”. “Group Therapy” will also be entertaining with a song. Two of the judges are in “Group Therapy”.
The event is free and open to the public. A catered buffet by “NING’S” will be offered for all attendees - $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and children.
There are four categories this year comprising of 5-10 yr. olds - William Lipton, Maya Debnath, Sophia Dugoni & Caitlyn Johnson, 11-14 yr. olds – Diana Daniels, Ariana Ebling, Charlie Brock-Alexander & Esetia Mataele, 15-18 yr. olds – Elena Huang, Sidney Davis & Christina Wonpat and Adults - Mahesh Patki, Richard Cleveland & Kayoko Kuchiishi.
As well as competing for the title of Burlingame Idol, the winners will receive the special “Burlingame Idol” trophy and will be performing on August 10th & 11th on Howard Avenue for “ArtzFest”.
Three judges – Renee Navarro, Jeff Yoder and Peter Bassford will be critiquing the performances and determining the winners. Cathy Foxhoven, producer and director, will be the hostess for the evening.
