BURLINGAME PARKS
& RECREATION DEPARTMENT’S SEARCHING FOR BURLINGAME IDOLS VI

The
Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department is once again searching for
talented BURLINGAME IDOLS.  This contest
is now in its sixth year, and we’ve been searching in grocery stores, schools
and churches for the next BURLINGAME IDOLS! 

The
categories are:  1) 5-10 yrs. old, 2)
11-14 yrs old, 3) 15-18 yrs old, 4) 19-39 yrs. old and 5) 40 and over. 

The
preliminary auditions begin on April 7, 7PM-9PM at Burlingame Parks &
Recreation Department, 850 Burlingame Avenue.  
For just a $50 entry fee, you can find out if you have what it takes to
be a BURLINGAME IDOL.  The first five
weeks will be the “auditioning” period. 
After May 5th, auditioning will end, eliminations made, and the top 12
(three from each category) will be notified. The last three weeks will be spent
in polishing the finalists’ performances. The final competition will be on June
7th, 5:00pm at Burlingame Parks & Recreation Auditorium.  Contestants, friends and families can enjoy a
catered dinner before the competition. 
First place from each category will receive many opportunities to
perform throughout the Bay area during their year of reign  

Three
familiar, professional musicians have been selected as the judges, which
includes a booking agent. Their identities will be revealed on the day of the
finals.

All
local Bay area talent is welcomed to compete but you must come prepared with a
memorized song and CD/karaoke accompaniment.
