Burlingame Man Nabbed In Gang-Related Stabbing, Police Say

BREAKING: Police say a 17-year-old was attacked by 6 to 8 male suspects. Three of them have since been caught, according to police.

SAN MATEO, CA – Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a gang-related stabbing Friday night in San Mateo, police said this week. The incident was discovered at about 10 p.m. Friday, when officers were dispatched to the 500 block of North Delaware Street on a report of a physical fight.

"Officers later contacted a 17-year-old juvenile victim who had been stabbed and assaulted by approximately 6-8 unknown male suspects," San Mateo police said in a news release. "The victim was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. It appears that the victim was specifically targeted and that this was an isolated incident."

Police and members of the San Mateo County Gang Task Force identified and located three suspects involved in the stabbing and assault.

"Based on information provided by the victim and witnesses, members of the San Mateo Police Crime Reduction Unit, while working with the San Mateo County Gang Task Force were relentless and worked around-the-clock to identify and located three of the involved suspects," police said.

The suspects were identified as 19-year-old Kevin Aguilar of San Mateo, 21-year-old Milton Chavez of Burlingame, and 25-year-old Hilmer Romero of San Mateo.

All three suspects were arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of various offenses.
