Burlingame Pet Parade: What To Know Before You Go

The Saturday extravaganza is fun for all, including your four-legged family members. See what's on tap and the planned road closures ....

BURLINGAME, CA —Burlingame's Pet Parade, a free, family-friendly extravaganza set for Saturday, Sept. 28, kicks off at 10 a.m. on Broadway in Burlingame with "Dusty the Klepto Kitty" as Grand Marshal.

As for parking limits, read on from local officials:

  • "On the day of the event, street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect starting at 8 a.m. The roadway closures and parking restrictions will be lifted by approximately 1 p.m.
  • "Broadway will be closed between California Drive and El Camino Real. The side streets Chula Vista, Laguna, Paloma, and Capuchino will be closed at Broadway. No vehicular traffic will be permitted to cross Broadway.
  • "Muni Lots Q, at 1212 Capuchino and Y at 1133 Capuchino will also be closed. Be sure to watch for 'No Parking' signs on Broadway, the side streets, and Muni Lots Q and Y. Vehicles in the posted no parking areas will be towed,' officials said."

There is no charge to participate, and there will be lots of free entertainment and art projects for kids, organizers said.
