Burlingame Weather: Heat Advisory In Effect This Weekend

If you're planning your weekend around the Peninsula, get ready for a hot one. National Weather Service officials predict that many locations will see triple-digit temperatures and have issued a heat advisory from Saturday through Monday.

"A heat advisory is in effect for most inland locations for this weekend into early next week as temperatures warm to as much as 20 degrees above seasonal averages and begin to pose potential heat related illnesses," the NWS said. "Dry weather conditions and mostly clear skies will also prevail through the forecast period."

Forecasters suggest to try to limit your outdoor activity during this time, and make sure to drink plenty of water.

As for Burlingame in particular, here's the NWS weather forecast through Tuesday:

This Afternoon
Sunny, with a high near 79. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.

Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 58. Breezy, with a west wind 23 to 28 mph decreasing to 16 to 21 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph.

Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 82. West wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph.

Saturday Night
Clear, with a low around 59. West wind 16 to 21 mph decreasing to 8 to 13 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph.

Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 89. Light and variable wind becoming west 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Sunny, with a high near 82.
