Caltrain Hits Vehicle On Burlingame Tracks

Officials say the vehicle was hit at a crossing gate. (Breaking)

BURLINGAME, CA — A Caltrain commuter train struck a vehicle in Burlingame Friday morning, disrupting train service in the area.

The vehicle was hit at a crossing gate at Broadway in Burlingame at 8:49 a.m., Caltrain officials said.

Trains started single-tracking through the area as of about 9:10 a.m. and had resumed full speed service as of about 10 a.m.

No injuries were reported from the vehicle strike.

The roughly 900 passengers who were on board the affected train were dropped off at the Millbrae station and boarded a different train.
