Celebrating our 100th year in business, The Studio Shop is curating an exhibition with an eye to an art movement of the past century.

This show features the artwork of 3 contemporary painters who follow the early Bay Area Figurative School artists who flourished from the late 1940’s until the early 1970’s. These artists were noted for their departure from pure abstract expressionism to return to pure figuration. Many of the historical works were created by artists such as Diebenkorn, Park, Bischoff and Peterson. The painters represented in this show strive to create the figure in the style and period of these iconic masters.
