Construction Workers Scuffle At Peninsula Mall, Assault Investigation Underway: Police
BREAKING: "It's being investigated as an assault with a deadly weapon case," a police sergeant said.

DALY CITY, CA – Two construction workers got into some sort of physical altercation resulting in injury this morning at a shopping mall in Daly City, according to police.
The workers were at the end of a night shift remodeling a portion of the Target at 133 Serramonte Center around 7:30 a.m., Sgt. Ron Harrison said.
One of the workers suffered superficial cuts or scratches to his face, and slightly more significant cuts to his right hand. His injuries may require stitches, Harrison said.

"It's being investigated as an assault with a deadly weapon case," Harrison said.
However, investigators do not yet know what kind of tool or knifewas used in the fight.

One suspect fled the scene and police are still working to identify him.
The other man transported himself to a hospital for treatment of cuts to his hand, but the cuts were "not that bad," Harrison said.
The case remains under investigation and it's not yet clear whether any arrests will be made. The cause of the fight has not yet been determined.
