Deadly Crash Reported On Highway 101 In SMC
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

MILLBRAE, CA — One person was killed early Wednesday on Highway 101 on the Peninsula, the California Highway Patrol reported. The collision happened around 4 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway, just south of Millbrae Avenue.
The person was walking along the roadway for unknown reasons when they were hit, according to the CHP. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision prompted the closure of all northbound lanes on the highway for about a half hour. The three left lanes reopened by 6 a.m. and all lanes reopened by 7 a.m., CHP officials said.

No other information about the collision, including the pedestrian's identity, was immediately available.
