Burlingame City Council

The five-member City Council is elected by Burlingame residents and serves as the city's governing body. Members serve four-year terms, and each year the mayor is selected from among them. All council members hold equal power. The council hires a general manager to oversee the city's daily business.

Meetings generally are held on the first and third Monday of the month, but may be moved to Tuesday or Wednesday if Monday is a holiday.
