Deadline to Appeal Removal of Eucalyptus Tree on El Camino

Anyone wanting to appeal the city's decision to remove a large eucalyptus tree on El Camino has until Sept. 26 to do it.

The removal was approved on Sept. 1 by the Burlingame Beautification Commission. The city-owned tree is behind the property at 1536 Albemarle Way, and its roots and trunk are damaging the foundation and wall of a building there.

Letters of appeal must be accompanied with a check for $255, made out to the City of Burlingame. Letters can be mailed to the Parks & Recreation Department, 850 Burlingame Ave., Burlingame, CA 94010.
