Flag Football for 4th and 5th Graders

The Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department is proud to offer another season of boy's flag football and girl's volleyball for 4th and 5th grade students currently enrolled at McKinley, Lincoln, Franklin, Roosevelt, or Washington Schools during the fall.  This program relies on volunteer coaches to survive. Teams will need to provide their own volunteer coach(es) this year.  If a school does not have enough students to fill a team, there is the possibility of combining teams from multiple schools to accommodate those students.  If you are interested in coaching a team, please contact Andrew Cheney at (650) 558-7300.  Practices and games will be set up after sign-ups are taken.  Team practices once or twice a week at their school, except the Washington flag football team, which practices at Washington Park.  All participants are given a t-shirt, which they keep.  Both sports are 2 to 3 days per week commitments. Students attending non-public schools in Burlingame are invited to participate in either sport.  They are required to sign-up for the Burlingame school they would have attended. Practices will take place after school, on Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:15 to 4:30pm and begin the week of September 13. Flag football games will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Ray Park (next to Lincoln School).  Volleyball matches will be played in the new gym at BIS on Fridays.  Both flag football and volleyball will end by November 5th.  For further information, please call 558-7300.
Registration is taken on a first come/first served basis. Space is limited, so sign up early!
