San Mateo County is offering struggling homeowners and tenants an opportunity to meet with housing counselors, attorneys and lenders at the Foreclosure Resource Fair.
Homeowners can work with lenders on loan modifications if they are behind on mortgages, and tenants can learn what to do if their homes are foreclosed upon. The fair will focus especially on seniors in foreclosure, and will offer information on reverse mortgages, transitional housing and mental health counseling.
Free, round-trip shuttles will be provided to seniors from their homes to the fair. Call 650-363-4570 by Sept. 21 for a ride.
