LET'S MAKE A ZINE!
Zines (short for “fanzines” or “magazines”) are self-published booklets about any subject that grabs you. Seriously, you can find a zine about just about anything. There are a ton of zines around the world, where music fans, writers, comic book artists, citizen journalists, poets, and others of every stripe are making, trading, and selling their creations. Zines are self-published, photocopied little magazines. And Burlingame Library's Maker Saturdays is hosting a collaborative zine making party!
So if you are between the ages of 12 and 17, have an original story, poem, comics or other artwork AND want to get your stuff published in the first ever Library Zine, show up and lets cut and paste together. If you’re new to zine construction or interested in dipping a toe in, this is a good place to start.
