Nueva Math Circle

The Nueva School, in Hillsborough, is proud to sponsor the Nueva Math Circle. Guided by mathematicians and educators, the Nueva Math Circle provides students with opportunities to play with interesting mathematical activities, puzzles, and problems. This Math Circle will feature sessions geared for students in pre-K to grade 8. Parent supervision is required. This is not a drop-off event.

During this session, the Lower School session will be led by two fantastic speakers: Kyle Slyngstad will be presenting hexaflexagons to 2nd-5th graders, and Stephanie Englehaupt will educate and fascinate the Pre-K, K, and 1st grade attendees. Our Middle School session is entitled “Locks, Keys, and Big Numbers” and will be led by Professor Dan Boneh from the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University.

Please visit the Math Circles page in the Community Programs section of the website for registration, room locations, and session times.

There is a $10 participation fee for each Math Circle date to offset speaker costs and related expenses. Parent supervision is required, but participation is free.

Math Circles are also open to the public. Pizza will be available for $7 per person.

Please register by April 10th.
