Film Screening in Support of the Philippines Relief Efforts

On Monday night, December 9, the San Francisco-based Jewish Community Federation will be holding a special film screening at Peninsula Temple Sholom of "Rescue in the Philippines," a documentary that tells the story of how the Philippines rescued 1,300 Jews during the Holocaust. Following the film we will year from Guenther Leopold, among others, who is a survivor of Filipino rescue during World War II.

The Federation has been actively raising funds for Haiyan relief and rebuilding efforts, with over $55,000 already raised within the community. All funds raised at this event will go to the Federation’s partners on the ground in the Philippines – the American Joint Distribution Committee and IsraAID.
