
The Burlingame Woman’s Club is inviting the public to a panel discussion on Wednesday, March 6, titled “An Evening of Climate Action Options” with three women who are making a difference on climate issues in San Mateo County. It will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Woman’s Club, 241 Park Road in Burlingame. Admission is free, but pre-registration is requested at https://bit.ly/BurlWomanClimate.
Moderated by club member Lisa Smith, it will feature:
- Terry Nagel, Chair of the Board of Sustainable San Mateo County, which works with local cities and residents to create a sustainable future for everyone in the county. She is a former Mayor of Burlingame.
- Laura Porter, Owner and Founder of Byrd’s Filling Station, the first store in the county to make zero waste easy
- Friday Apaliski, Director of Communications for the Building Decarbonization Coalition, which is dedicated to driving the future of electrification
The panelists will explore actions that you can take in the short, medium and long term to address climate change.
