Hillsborough Resident Interrupts, Scares Off Would-Be Burglars in Home: Police
Police say a resident yelled at the two suspects when they were spotted inside the home.

HILLSBOROUGH, CA — A Hillsborough resident scared off two men who were caught inside their home this week, after they had broken in through a window, police say.
The incident was reported at 11:10 a.m. Monday in the 2500 block of Butternut Drive, according to police.
"Two unknown-race male suspect(s) removed a screen on an open bedroom window and entered the home," Sgt. Patrick Aherne said in a news release. "A resident encountered the two males inside the home and yelled in alarm. The two suspects fled through the front door and left in a silver, possible 4 door, car."

Now, police are hoping to get in contact with any possible witnesses to the crime.
"Additionally, we are asking residents who have residential video surveillance systems in the neighborhood to review their video and share any footage that may assist us in this investigation," Aherne said.
