There's lot of talk about getting to 100 percent clean energy, but how will we get there?

Join State Senator Josh Becker and Peninsula Clean Energy CEO Jan Pepper from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, at a solutions-focused event hosted by Sustainable San Mateo County to learn how.

Becker will discuss recent legislation at the state level as well as what he learned while attending the recent U.N. Climate Summit (COP26) in Glasgow. He is the chair of the new Senate Subcommittee on Clean Energy. Legislation he proposed that the governor recently signed into law includes bills aimed at easing barriers to electrification and decarbonizing cement.

Admission to the online event on December 9 is free, but pre-registration is required here. Happy Hours are highly interactive, in-depth conversations where attendees explore solutions to sustainability issues with subject matter experts in an informal setting.
