How Have Children, Youth and Families Fared in San Mateo County?

Free program with light breakfast offers in-depth analysis

Sustainable San Mateo County’s 27th Annual Indicators Report, “The Well-Being of Children, Youth and Families in San Mateo County,” will be unveiled from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, at a free in-person event in Redwood City with a light breakfast. The Indicators Report Launch will feature County Manager Mike Callagy and other local experts discussing the challenges facing children, youth and families.

The report and the speakers also will make recommendations regarding what local leaders and residents can do to ensure a better future for families and the county’s youngest residents.

Admission is free, but registration is required by October 23 at bit.ly/SSMCIndicatorsReportLaunch2023.

Other speakers will include Simona Vallone, SSMC’s Indicators Report Program Manager; Heather Cleary, CEO of Peninsula Family Service; Dr. Kismet Baldwin-Santana, the county’s new Health Officer; and Tracy Weatherby, Vice President of Strategy and Advocacy for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.
