CALL Primrose, serving low-income residents along the Peninsula, experiences a decrease in donations during the summer. Unfortunately this coincides with increased requests for food. When school-funded meal programs stop for the summer, families are forced to stretch their already tight budgets. To help alleviate this burden, bags of additional food are distributed to pre-qualified families through the summer months. “It is vitally important that our summer donations come in strong in order for us to meet these increased summer needs,” says Mary Watt, Executive Director at CALL Primrose.
