ACCLAIMED RAGAZZI BOYS CHORUS
CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH
I DREAM A WORLD
December 5 in Palo Alto
December 6 in Burlingame
December 13 in San Francisco
WHAT: Ragazzi Boys Chorus presents I Dream a World, an effervescent holiday concert series inspired by the classic Langston Hughes poem of the same name. The jubilant program celebrates the power of love and music to transform lives across cultures. Selections include the mystical “Adinu,” a Sufi chant sung in Arabic proclaiming “love is our religion,” and Hebrew pieces “Shiru” (“Sing!”), a lively dance song, and “L’Dor Vador,” a thoughtful prayer. From the European tradition, the six-part counterpoint of William Byrd’s “Haec Dies” (“This is the Day”) will illuminate the world of the English Renaissance. The concert will conclude with Ragazzi’s carol sing-a-long featuring favorites such as “Deck the Halls,” “Joy to the World,” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.”
