Sat. Feb. 11, 10-11:30 a.m. Student Film Workshop. Students in grades 4-12 who live or attend school in San Mateo County will learn tips on creating videos from other students. Wed. May 3, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Get Paid to Replace Your Lawn. Discover what’s involved in replacing your lawn with water-efficient landscaping and how you can qualify for rebates to replace your lawn and create a rain garden.
Sat. Aug. 19, 11 a.m. to noon. Family Fun on the Nature Trail. Hallie Gilmore will lead a family-friendly walk along San Francisco Bay, beginning at Bayfront Park on Old Bayshore Highway at Millbrae Avenue. We will be picking up trash (plogging) as we go. CEC will provide free trash pickup kits.
Thurs. Sept. 14, 7 to 8:30 p.m. “Kiss the Ground.” This documentary reveals a viable solution to our climate crisis: regenerative agriculture, which rebuilds soil organic matter. The 45-minute screening will be followed a discussion led by a representative from the San Mateo Resource Conservation District.
Wed. Oct. 18, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Rebates and Incentives to Help You Transition to Clean Energy. Learn about rebates offered by Peninsula Clean Energy, BayREN, the State of California and the Inflation Reduction Act.
