Join Local Leaders to Discuss How to Make Cities More Sustainable
Council members from Millbrae and San Mateo and author of "The Great Pivot" offer insights

How can we sustain the benefits of nature’s rebound once shelter-in-place orders end? Join local leaders on Wednesday, May 6, from to 7:30 p.m. to discuss how you can help local cities minimize their impact on the planet, balance conservation and consumption, and offer more clean-tech and green jobs.
Called “The Pandemic Pivot: How You Can Help Forge a More Sustainable, Equitable Future,” this program will take place on Zoom. It is presented by the Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame. There is no charge, but advance registration is required at https://tinyurl.com/y8pkt74x.
Zoom breakout room discussions will follow remarks by Ann Schneider, Council Member, City of Millbrae (discussing circular economy and zero waste); Amourence Lee, Council Member, City of San Mateo (whose topic will be bike and pedestrian streets); and Justine Burt, author of “The Great Pivot” (focusing on sustainable food and green jobs).
