Power Outages Continue In Burlingame, Hillsborough Areas

Thousands of people lost power as a result of the outages, according to PG&E.

BURLINGAME, CA — Thousands of PG&E customers on the Peninsula experienced power outages on Wednesday, with many of those affected in the Burlingame and San Mateo areas, the utility company reports. A total of 3,070 were affected by the first major outage, which was first reported around 3:41 p.m.

According to the agency's "outage map," crews were sent to asses the cause and there are crews assigned to the incident to repair the outage. A map of the the outage is attached above.

Another outage was reported at 3:58 p.m. in the area pictured below. A total of 1,154 customers were affected by that incident, according to PG&E.

Then, at 5:03 p.m., 8,300 customers lost power in the Burlingame and Hillsborough areas. A map of that outage is below. As of 7:50 p.m., those customers remained in the dark, according to PG&E.

There was no immediate word on when the power may be back for all customers.
