Men Try to Break Into Burlingame Home After Resident Doesn't Answer Door: Police
Police say the resident then scared the would-be burglars away.

BURLINGAME, CA- Police are looking for a duo who they say tried to break into a Burlingame home this week-- but stopped when they realized someone was actually home.
According to police, the would-be burglars first rang a doorbell in the Easton Addition-North neighborhood of town on Monday, just before noon. When no one answered, they tried to get inside the residence.
"The suspects were interrupted while attempting to break into the rear of the residence by the homeowner, who had heard someone ringing her doorbell earlier, but did not answer the door," police said in a news release. "Upon seeing the homeowner through the rear door, they were trying to break into, the suspects immediately fled..."

The suspects took off in a matte black Z series BMW 2-door convertible, which was captured on a surveillance camera, police said. They released a photograph of the vehicle, which is attached to this article.
The suspects are described as a black man in his 20s and a Hispanic or light-skinned black man.
